The San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) and the San Francisco Foundation (SFF) are pleased to launch the “Home for Good Fund,” which allows individual donors and philanthropic investors to help San Francisco families find and keep affordable homes.
The Fund is seeking to raise $25 million from donors, and in turn loan the funds to community developers to expand much-needed affordable housing in the city. Investments will return to the donors’ DAF at the end of the loan term.
To date we have raised $26+ million. Let’s keep this momentum going!
There are several ways to contribute to the Home for Good Fund:
- Existing donors at the San Francisco Foundation can recommend a portion of their donor advised fund (DAF) be invested in the Fund
- Donors with DAFs at other institutions or their own foundations can make a grant to SFF to be invested in the Fund
- New donors can open a DAF at SFF to be invested in the Fund
- Make a permanent grant to the Fund for maximum impact. Your grant will revolve in perpetuity to support as many projects as possible!
Thank you to the many investors and donors who helped us reach and exceed our $25 million goal!
